  1. Today’s Agenda • Read your books silently for one hour. You must have the ENTIRE book finished by Tuesday, April 29th, which is about 8 days away. (60 minutes) • Draw the dialectical journal on the next slide on a piece of notebook paper. Then make sure you have three entries for today. Turn it into the tray. It’s due today! (20 minutes) • Reflection: Do the reflection on the back of today’s dialectical journal entries.

  3. Today’s Reflection • What is the major conflict in your novel? What does this conflict teach the characters in the novel? Does it hint at a theme? If so, what theme do you see emerging. Use quotes and examples to back up your claims.
