  6. History • Hydrogen was found by Theophrastus Paracelsus found hydrogen in the first half of the 1500’s. the origin is Greek. It got its symbol from the first letter of its name.

  8. 2 common uses • Methanol production • Metal refining

  9. Appearance • In nature it Appears as a Colorless odorless Gas. Its also found In stars in space.

  10. Common places hydrogen is found • In space it is found in stars and the endless place of the universe. On earth its mainly found in water. Its also found in very small quantities in the atmosphere.

  14. Hydrogen in history • The Hindenburg crash of may 6, 1937. the Hindenburg which caught fire was filled with hydrogen. It caught fire and went down in seconds. This is one reason they now use helium in blimps.
