  6. 6 Reading a Daisy Book: Locate book Press play/pause to begin Press and hold left key to rewind Press and hold right key to fast forward

  7. 7 Continue Daisy Books: 8 to select navigation level 7 for back 9 for forward

  8. 8 Go to Key: Go to specific page: In your Daisy book Press go to key put in page number Press play/pause or down key to jump to page

  9. 9 Power: Usb or ac adapter If using for first time or after a month of no use, charge with ac for 24 hours Battery usually takes 4 hours to charge.

  10. Book Port will shut off after not in use for 15 minutes. If Book Port won’t shut down or locks up, press and hold power on/off for 15 seconds. Removing battery would also work.

  12. 12 Other Menu Notes: Varies depending on what feature you are using. Left or right keys to select menu levels. To select an option, down key or enter key. Up a level is up key Up arrow or menu key will exit.

  13. 13 Get help in the Menu System Press 5 key once. Change text-to-speech settings. Practice changing other settings.

  14. 14 Sleep Timer Power key is used. Quickly press and release power key once. Continue to increase sleep timer amount. Can press sleep timer until the setting is off.

  15. 15 Notes: Daisy files must be contained in their own folder. One folder per daisy book. Audio files can be stored alone or in a folder. mp3 wav wma, etc. Text: word, html, plain text

  16. Guied speech can be changed differently from playback speech. This can be done through the system settings.

  17. 17 Change the playback rate: Press 1 key. Then use volume slider switch. Press 1 key twice, then use the volume slider switch. Audio tone can also be changed:

  18. 18 Make a Recording: use built-in mic Press record key to test Record key to start recording Record key to pause recording Record key to resume recording Play/stop key to finish

  19. 19 Play Recording: Press play/pause after finished recording to hear what you recorded. Use title key and left or right keys

  20. Transfer from computer to Book Port Plus. Connect using provided USB cable.
