Business Academy. From past to present. This school was established in 1968. In 1968 there were 10 – 12 classes and now we have 20 classes. Till this year our school has had a lot of changes. Now we have modern technology which can help us.

In 1968 there were 10 – 12 classes and now we have 20 classes. • Till this year our school has had a lot of changes. • Now we have modern technology which can help us. • For expample 10 years ago there wasn´t the internet connection and now we use it almost every day. • In 1990 language school was connected to this school. • Since 1977 we have had our own gym. • In 1968 there were 10-12 clasrooms and now we have 16 clasrooms. • 1970 the school magazine ČAMLEK was developed, later in the year 1989 its name changed to MLADOSŤ
Interview with teacher Mr. Petráš What did the buisness academy look like in the past? In the past the school had no fence or trees. And also there was no gym. How many students and teachers were there in the first years of school? At first this school had only two classes with 40 students. A lot of them came from a school in Žilina. There were only 8 teachers. Were students better in the past than at present? In the past students were more disciplined and they had more respect to the teachers. Nowadays, they have more self-confidence. How many years have you been teaching? I´ve been teaching for 32 years. What is the biggest change at our school in your opinion? I think that the biggest change for the school was the gym, which was build in 1977. It was very important, because before students had had to walk one hour to the town and back, where was a gym next to Hypernova. What do you want to change? There are a lot of things that I would like to change. I think that teachers are servants of students. Teachers should help students to make their studies easier. Why is our school better than other business academies? We have language, sports, computer classes. Our technology is modern. We are at the top. Do you like this work? Have you ever wanted to change? I like this work because I feel good in a classroom. I could travel but I stayed here.I´m sure that it was a good decision.
