Registration Schedule • Step 1: March 3 – March 31 • Complete Upperclassmen Application • Pay $200 Non-Refundable Housing Deposit • Step 2: March 8 – Until Your Groups Earliest Registration Time in April • Obtain a Commitment for Next Year From Potential Roommates, Suitemates & Apartment-mates • Know the Rooms and Buildings for which the group is eligible • Form Roommate Pairs and Groups in MyHousing • NOTE: Everyone in the group must request and by accepted by every other member of the group. The utility in MyHousing will indicate incomplete group matches • Step 3: April 14 – April 30 • Select a room, suite or Apartment in MyHousing at Your Groups Earliest Registration Time

  4. Step – 1 Complete the Upperclassmen Application & Pay $200 Housing Deposit • Complete the Upperclassmen Application A. Select MyHousing at housing.uri.edu and Login to your MyHousing account Using i. Your URI ID # ii. Your Date of Birth in the form MM/DD/YYYY Please be certain to use the forward slashes B. Select ApplyOnLine i. Read the Housing and Dinning Contract ii. If you accept the terms of the contract click AGREE C. Select the UPERCLASSMEN APPLICATION D. Complete the Application and Click CONTINUE E. Go to www.uri.edu/dining and select a meal plan for next year • Pay $200 Non-refundable Deposit A. Go to Your e-campus account at uri.edu/ecampus . Select Student then click the Logon button. Logon to your account using i. USER ID ii. PASSWORD B. Select the URI Student Services link then select the Upperclass Housing Deposit link. Students may pay their Deposit as follows: i. Checking Account a. Select Automated Clearing House (ACH) ii. Credit Card b. AMEX, Discover, Master Card (no VISA)

  5. Step – 1 Complete the Upperclassmen Application Login to MyHousing Remember to use the forward slashes Housing Applications Select “MyHousing”

  6. Step – 1 Complete the Upperclassmen Application Click “ApplyOnLine”

  7. Step – 1 Complete the Upperclassmen Application Select the “Upperclassmen Application”…then click Next

  8. Step – 1 Complete the Upperclassmen Application If you agree to the terms of the Housing and Dining Agreement then select “I Agree”…then click the “Next button”

  9. Step – 1 Complete the Upperclassmen Application Answer all of the questions on your application..then click “Complete Application”

  10. Step – 1 Complete the Upperclassmen Application Your Application is complete. Please be certain to pay your $200 Housing Deposit

  11. Step – 1 Pay Your $200 Housing Deposit Logon to your e-Campus account

  12. Step – 1 Pay Your $200 Housing Deposit Select “URI Student Services”…then select “Upper Class Housing Deposit” 200.00 ($ amount of Housing Deposit) Select the method of payment…”ACH” (checking account) or “credit card” Fall 2011 Click “SUBMIT”

  13. Step – 1 Pay The $200 Housing Deposit This is the credit card payment gateway… Submit your $200 payment and your Deposit is paid

  14. Step – 2 Select Roommates and Form Groups Forming a Group – selecting roommates, suitemates or apartment-mates. These steps must be completed by EVERY MEMBER of your group so that the requests will be reciprocal! Login to your MyHousing account at housing.uri.edu. a. Choose Room Selection from the left hand menu b. Choose Roommate Selection from the pop out menu c. Note the online help on the right hand menu d. In the search box you can search for another resident to add as a group member i. Eligible group members must be eligible to participate in the HRL Room Registration Process (Fall 2011 –Spring 2012) ii. Eligible group members must have submitted an Upperclassmen Application by the 3/31/11 @ 11:59 pm deadline iii. Eligible group members must have paid their Fall 2011 Housing Deposit by the 3/31/11 @ 11:59 pm deadline e. Click the name of the resident who you want f. Next click the Continue button g. All group member selections must be reciprocal! i. This means that roommate, suitemates or apartment-mates who you select must accept your selection and must also request and be requested by all other members of the group. ii. Please note that the Roommate Selection utility in MyHousing will show incomplete group member matches and the reason for those incomplete matches. You should check this daily until this utility indicates that all group matches are complete. iii. Incomplete group member matches will disrupt the group’s ability to select their desired room for next year. For example, consider a group of 5 residents who wish to select a 5 person suite in Eddy for next year. One of the group members has been requested to join the group by the other four members. However that resident has only responded in MyHousing to 3 of the group members. This will prevent the group from selecting the suite in Eddy. So be certain that all group member matches are reciprocal and check MyHousing daily to ensure that everyone in your group has completed this step.

Step – 2 Select Roommates and Form Groups This is the MyHousing Account Home Page for June Duck This is where you will find your unique room registration time…On April 7, 2011 at 12:00 pm This is the name of the room registration process in which you have been enrolled..and the start and end dates are for that process overall

  18. Step – 2 Select Roommates and Form Groups Choose “Room Selection” from your “MyHousing” page Choose “Roommate Selection” from the pop out menu

  19. Step – 2 Select Roommates and Form Groups Use the search utility in MyHousing to find the people who you would like to have as roommates, suitemates or apartment-mates. Use any combination of the fields to narrow your search. Please note that only eligible residents who have submitted their Upperclassmen Application and paid their $200 non-refundable deposit will be found through this search utility.

  20. Step – 2 Select Roommates and Form Groups Click the name of the student you want (Hortense Duck) Next click the “Continue” button To start your search again Click the “Cancel” button

  21. You may remove a member or send a email reminder to include you in their group. If Hortense does not reply to June by room selection then she MUST remove him from her group Notice that the utility indicates that this not a reciprocal request. To be reciprocal Hortense must reply from his MyHousing account to June that he wants to form a group You may now add more members to your group

  22. This group has a few roommate matching problems but those problems are well defined. These problems must be resolved or it will adversely affect the groups ability to select a room, suite or apartment

  23. This is a completely matched group of 4 residents. This group will now be able to select a 4-person suite or apartment, if available This is Donald’s unique room selection time. Groups should select a room, suite or apartment at the time of the group member with the earliest room selection time

  24. Step – 3 Select a Room, Suite or Apartment Obtain your unique Room Registration time A. Login to your MyHousing account at housing.uri.edu on April 7, 2011 @ 12:00 pm i. Your unique registration time will appear on the bottom of your MyHousing home page ii. Identify the earliest room selection time for your group Select a room, suite or apartment for Fall 2011 – Spring 2012 A. Login to your MyHousing account at housing.uri.edu prior to your groups earliest registration time. Ideally the person with the earliest time should be the group leader a. Choose Select a Room/Suite from the MyHousing menu b. Review the Online HELP document that lists available rooms, suites and apartments c. Refresh screen at your earliest room selection time and a current list of available rooms will appear. Only those rooms, suites or apartments with a capacity that equals your confirmed group size will appear in the list d. The group leader should select a room, suite or apartment from the list and then click, the Select Suite button e. The room assignment screen will appear and the group leader should assign group members to the individual rooms in the suite f. The group leader must complete the process by clicking the Submit Room Selection button g. YOU ARE DONE – Check your My Housing home page to view your Future Room Assignment

  27. Step – 3 Select a Room, Suite or Apartment Matched group of 4 Login to your MyHousing Account…then select MyHousing. This will take you to your MyHousing Account Home Page This is where you will find your unique room registration time…On April 7, 2011 at 12:00 pm This is the name of the room registration process in which you have been enrolled..and the start and end dates are for that process overall. This is NOT your unique registration time

  28. Step – 3 Select a Room, Suite or Apartment Choose “Room Selection” from your “MyHousing” page Choose “Select a Room/Suite from the pop out menu

  29. ****Only those suites or apartments that have 4 beds will be displayed by the room selection utility because this group has 4 matched group members**** The group now needs to select a suite..to do so the group leader must click the “Select Suite” button

  30. The group leader may now assign group members to rooms The last step is to submit the assignments by pressing the button… then you are DONE! Each group member should login to their MyHousing account to ensure that their account reflects their room assignment for the Fall 2011 – Spring 2012 academic year.
