  1. Friday Photo Assignment David Lankford EDUC 6308

  2. First Photo Retouch • Background is replaced with a cloud filled sky. • Replaced earring interior color on both earrings. • Removed photographic equipment reflection [reflectisol disc] from both sunglass lenses. • Added a filter layer to emulate the 85 B filter. It adds a uniform warmth found on sunny days. Best seen in the concrete and skin tone. • Removed neck lines • Removed skin blemishes on legs, arms, and face • Removed gum spot from shoe bottom.

  3. Second Photo Retouch This Photo is a color to Black and white transition. Reminiscent of the old art of Photo Colorizing or Photo Painting; I choose to emphasize the Stylus by color. I also use a low F Stop to provide a very limited depth of field, which is used to draw the eye to the main subject the pen. Layer masks were used to remove background and to mask the area around the stylus to all the original color in. The tablet scree had blemishes retouched. RBG levels adjusted in “desaturate” window to highlight red light. Much like the old 1 A Skylight filter did for B/W film.

  4. Third Photo Retouch The presidio at Goliad needed a more foreboding sky, I thought. I used four translucent colors to tint [Hue] the clouds with out leaving sharp lines. I removed several spots in the sky with the healing tool and blending tool. I lightened this area to create a sky that had a fast moving storm with the horizon still light. I used masks and color samples to tint particular layers in the clouds
