  2. Word Problem #1 Money: 70x + 90y = 2220 Shoes: x + y = 28 15 pairs of Style A 13 pairs of Style B A store sold 28 pairs of cross-trainer shoes for a total of $2220. Style A sold for $70 per pair and Style B sold for $90 per pair. How many of each style were sold? Standard Form x = Style A y = Style B

  3. Word Problem #2 Rent a Car m = .75 b = 50 y = .75x + 50 Ace Rentals m = 1.50 b = 35 y = 1.50x + 35 20 miles Two car rental agencies have different charges. At Rent a Car you pay $50 plus $.75 per mile. At Ace Rentals you pay $35 plus $1.50 per mile. How many miles do you drive for the two agencies to cost the same? Slope-Intercept Form
