THE REGIONAL PARTNERSHIP GGVV • The regional partnership is a cooperation between the four municipalities Gislaved, Gnosjö, Vaggeryd and Värnamo (GGVV) in the county of Jönköping. • The municipalities work together within four areas: •  Development of trade and industry •  Education •  Infrastructure •  Attraction and environment

  6. THE MUNICIPAL CREST • The crest represents the old map sign for inn or stage of which there have been many along the important routes Nissastigen and Göteborg-Växjö. • Today we see it as a symbol for openness, hospitality and communication.

  7. MAJOR LINES OF BUSINESS • The private industry is dominated by the manufacturing industry with about 50% of the employees. • Metal/engineering and plastic industries are the biggest but we also have an important rubber and wood industry.

  10. HIGHLIGHTS • Gislaved municipality is well situated for travelling through the inland parts. Gislaved has always been an important place for resting and trading. • We recommend that you visit our local attractions – Isaberg and Scandinavian Raceway – or why not enjoy our beautiful nature by going fishing or cycling. • Gislaved is also an excellent starting point for regional attractions such as High Chaparral, shopping in Ullared or buying clothes and textile fabrics on a tour of factory outlets.

  12. MOTORSPORT • Scandinavian Raceway • Sweden´s largest racetrack is situated in Anderstorp. Competitions for touring cars, WTCC, ETCC, STCC and EC in roadracing take place here. • Ntex Speedway curcuit • Oneof the oldes Speedway curcuit is Ntex Arena. The local Speedway team arecalled Lejonen (The Lions) and wasoneof the best teams in the whole country a coupleofyearsago.

  13. LAKES AND THE RIVER NISSAN • Gislaved municipality has an abundance of lakes – about 388. • The rivers Nissan, Ätran and Lagan also flow through the region. • There are excellent opportunities for water sports with nice beaches, excellent fishing waters and canoeing routes.
