  1. = Bow down!!

  2. Psalm 50 • In Your good pleasure make Zion prosper; • build up the walls of Jerusalem. • Then there will be righteous sacrifices, • whole burnt offerings to delight You; • then bullswill be offered on Your altar. Alleluia.

  3. Holy, Holy, Holy. A passage from the Gospel according to Saint Luke (4:38-41), may his blessings be upon us all. Amen.

  4. Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. So He bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them. When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them. Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, ‘‘You are the Son of God!'' But He rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew • . • He was the Christ

  5. Glory Be To God Forever, Amen

  6. Personal Prayers

  7. WELCOME BACK!

  8. St. Athanasius • Born to pagan parents • Was an amazing speaker and very outspoken, especially during the Council of Nicea • Had many conflicts with Arius • Why is it that St. Athanasius is Coptic Treasures’ patron saint?

  9. What is tasbeha? • “Tasbeha” means psalmody in Arabic. • It is one of the various steps that leads us to the Eucharist, or “communion,” when we pray liturgy • The order is: Vespers, Agpeya (midnight hour), Tasbeha, Matins, Liturgy (Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Believers) then Communion • This is a time in which we praise God for all that He has done, starting from the time of Moses to now (mostly in the hooses) • All the words are taken from the Bible, Psalms, and theological understandings of our church fathers (Theotokia and Psalis) • By praying Tasbeha, we are able to grow closer to God by praising Him and letting the hymns meditate and dwell in our hearts

  10. Second hoos • The Second Hooscan be found in Psalm 135 in the Bible. In the Psalm, we are thanking God for being good to us and for all the great wonders that He has made. We always end a verse with “His mercy endures forever” and is repeated many times when sung during Tasbeha.
