  1. HUMANITARIAN CALL TO ACTION RESPONDING TO SUPERCYCLONE YAAS IN BENGAL

  2. CONTEXT:  SUPERCYCLONE YAAS hit West Bengal on May 26, 2021.  The islands of Sunderbans with a pop- ulation of 15,000 people are flooded. They lost their homes, their livelihood. There is no food and drinking water to consume.  Coastal areas like Kakdwip, Namkha- na and Frasergunj have been sub- merged under water  At Kumirmari, located in a remote part of Gosaba, embankments have been breached in at least ten places and water from Raimangal river has

  3. OUR SOLUTION: Five school teachers in Gosaba have started a rasoighar for the cy- clone victims. We need to supply dry ration and personal hygiene kit to continue their mission of feeding of 300 families each day for another 15 days. Each family pack- et comprises of :  Rice: 10 Kg (300X10= 3000 kg)  Dal: 1 Kg (300X1=300 kg)  Edible oil: 1L (300 l)  Soyabean: 500 g (150 kg)  Sooji: 500 g (150kg)  Sugar– 1 kg (300 kg)  Soap– 2 (600 pieces)  Hand sanitizer (small) (300 pieces)  Masks– 2 (600 pieces)  Jute sack – 1 (300 pieces) One Packet cost INR 750/family Kindly donate any amount in support of the cause.
