  2. Aim • Increase the Number of Publicly Insured Patients ages 0-12 that Receive a Fluoride Varnish Application by 15% at Each of their Recall Visits at the four clinics of focus By December 0f 2011.

  3. Measurement • Percentage of children ages 0-12 that are having fluoride varnish applied at the time of their dental exams and cleanings. We currently have 4 clinics of focus. • Piloted a new treatment plan at one of the clinics July of 2011.

Prior Pilot March-June 2011 COMMERCIAL PMAP HIGH RISK= 50% population (varnish applied 75%) MOD RISK = 26% population (varnish applied 60%) LOW RISK = 24% population (varnish applied 15%) • HIGH RISK=44% population (varnish applied 86%) • MOD RISK= 16% population (varnish applied 80%) • LOW RISK=39% population (varnish applied 0%)

After Pilot (July 15-Aug 19 2011) COMMERCIAL PMAP HIGH RISK (varnish applied 91%) 16% increase MOD RISK = (varnish applied 96%) 36% increase LOW RISK (varnish applied 25%) 10% increase • HIGH RISK (varnish applied 86%) 3% decrease • MOD RISK (varnish applied 88%) 8% increase • LOW RISK (varnish applied 10%) 10% increase

  6. Measurement • Plan to go to the other clinics of focus September and October for presentation and pilot roll out.
