Goals of mass measurements Sn (50) In (49) Cd (48) Ag (47) Pd (46) 1. direct input parameter for r-process models Sn of 131Cd: conditions for 130Cd being a waiting point based on FRDM (1992) mass predictions current status: r-process ~ 1 MeV uncertainty in Sn (mass models) = 4 orders of magnitude uncertainty in neutron density Nn neutron density (cm-3) our goal: ~ 200 keV uncertainty in mass temperature (GK)
