  1. Admin Console Course Creation Walk-Through

  2. Step 2Select Courses • Select content from an existing course at your school, or select master courses from our vendors. • View License Information on vendors • View your school license totals

  3. Select whether you would like to use content from an existing school course, or from a vendor master course.

  4. Copying content from an existing school course means that you will be selecting edited content from a course that your school has already published to the platform.

  5. As your list of courses continues to grow, the updated courses will be available as course derivatives when you select the copy course option.

  6. Select the course that you would like to copy content from.

  7. Click on the License Information link on the right side of the screen to view the licenses needed in order to utilize the content from this course derivative.

  8. Since we have selected a Full iLearn Course Type (Step 1), the License Information will display the license count for both the Carnegie content as well as the platform licenses below.

  9. The licensing view shows the number of licenses allocated to your school, the number of those licenses currently assigned to student, the licenses recognized on the vendor side (for select vendors) and the total number of remaining licenses.

  10. Note: The count of assigned licenses reflects the total number of students who have been assigned to a course that has been finalized. All courses that were Save To Finish Later will not be reflected in these totals unless the course was previously finalized.

  11. Add the desired course.

  12. To remove the course that you have selected, click on the red X to the right of your screen.

  13. Confirm whether or not you would like to remove the course you have selected.

  14. You also have the option of selecting unedited course content from our vendors.

  15. A list of available content will display.

  16. All content that is offered through the iLearn program will appear regardless of whether or not you have licenses allocated for that vendor.

  17. To search for content, simply enter the content vendor or area of focus in the Master Course Name search field.

  18. To view your license totals for that vendor, click on License Information.

  19. Click on the question mark to the right of your screen in order to get more information on the content item.

  20. A screen that summarizes the vendor licensing behavior and content offerings will appear along with some helpful tips.

  21. Select your content.

  22. Add the selected content.

  23. To remove the course that you have selected, click on the red X to the bottom right of your screen.

  24. After completing the required fields, there are four available options on how to proceed…

  25. You can Return To Prior Step to make any necessary changes.

  26. Select Save To Finish Later to save all current progress to your “Work In Progress” on the Admin Console main page.

  27. Finalizing Course Creation will publish all current progress to the platform as a new course. At this stage, only a course shell with content will be published to the platform.

  28. Continue To Next Step to continue with the course creation process and select staff…
