Leave of Absences • Personal Days – • Faculty - 3 per contract year • TA, TS, 12 month Directors – 4 per contract year • Unused rolls into sick time • May not be used to extend a vacation or holiday • Sick Days – • Faculty - 20 days upon commencement of the contract year. • TA, TS, 12 month Directors – 24 per contract year • Can accumulate up to max number of work days in the work year. • NO SHORT TERM DISABILITY!

  13. Leave of Absences (cont.) • Vacation – Only for 12 month employees – are eligible for 20 days per academic year. May carry over up to 5 days of unused vacation. • Unused beyond the 5 days rolls as sick time • Info on GenESIS - You can view paystubs, earning records and leave balances by logging into your GenESIS account.  Choose “Employee Services” under the My GenESIS tab.

  20. Professional Development • Each unit member receives $350 per year • GEA professional development fund total $12,500

  21. Paychecks • Paychecks are issued on alternate Fridays; Paychecks are for the two-week period ending on the day in which payment is made for regular employees.  • Paychecks are available for pickup at the Business Office or, if requested, at a Campus Center.  Paychecks not picked up by 3PM Friday will be mailed.  Direct deposit notifications are held in the Business Office, or couriered to a Campus Center if requested, for pick up.  Unless special arrangements are requested, direct deposit notifications will not be mailed.
