ORCIVAL « Capital de la gentiane » à 27 km au sud ouest de CLERMONT FERRAND. • Niché dans la superbe vallée du sioulet, au sud de la chaîne des puys, Orcival est un ravissant village de montagne dévoilant ses habitations sur fond d’andésite et de lauze, mais surtout sa basilique romane, perle des monts Dore. • Notre dame d’Orcival classée monument historique depuis 1894 par le pape Léon XIII, construite par les moines de La Chaise-Dieu au XIIe siècle elle fut terminée en 1166.
