  2. Zanzibaris a beautiful island located off the coast of mainland Tanzania. Its white beaches and turquoise waters make it a dream destination for people all around the globe and people from all walks of life find true relaxation here.

  3. Be aware of the strength of the sun Zanzibar is located close to the equator and because of this the strength of the sun is exceptionally high. Regardless of how tanned you might already be, 15 minutes in the midday sun is enough to burn you. People visiting Zanzibar often underestimate the power of the sun and it is not an uncommon site to see people wandering around looking like lobsters!

Be respectful of the local culture The Zanzibari people are very friendly and welcoming - you'll find yourself walking around and being be greeted by people saying "Karibu" ("Welcome") on a regular basis. The vast majority of the population on Zanzibar are Muslim, and as such they have certain traditions which they follow. One of the most noticeable of these is that Zanzibari women will cover their hair with a head scarf and will dress modestly.
