Issue /Gaps Identified by Districts of Sindh • Shortage of Human resources specifically Entomologists and equipments specifically ULV machines • Financial constraints for IRS and fogging • Lack of training to the malaria staff in spray and fogging. • Political influence for LLINs distribution and transfer & posting of malaria staff. • Unfair and unjustified financial policy of ASD for public sector malaria workers. Issue /Gaps Identified by Districts of Sindh • IRS Strategy not provided to the districts. • Case Management Desk Guide and Urdu version of RDT Manual may be provided at all the health facilities supported by TGF. • Unfair and unjustified financial policy of ASD for public sector malaria workers. • IRS Strategy not provided to the districts. • Case Management Desk Guide and Urdu version of RDT Manual may be provided at all the health facilities supported by TGF.   5. Issues /Gaps Identified by Districts of KPK & FATA • Worst law & order situation in the districts and agencies. • The issue of non availability of CNIC to the afghan refugees is also a big challenge for record keeping. PSM, DOMC, GFATM R-10

Decisions • SPO inform that the case management Urdu translated desk guide will be provided as soon as possible after the meeting with SCI. • Close collaboration with EDO Offices will be made by all the stakeholders. • District Health System will Improve supervision by regular discussion with representatives of the stakeholders • EDO offices will support the monthly cluster/coordination meetings process. Decisions • IRS strategy is being developed by the Co-PR Save the Children International and will be shared with DHOs and Provincial Program Managers shortly. • LLIN distribution strategy is developed by the Co-PR Save the Children International, it is already shared with DHS/Provincial Program Managers. • According to SOPs provided by DMC, EDOs office will record the stock received in stock book and manage the distribution process. Decisions • EDOs will ensure to reduce the transfers of the trained malaria staff. • IRS strategy is being developed by the Co-PR Save the Children International and will be shared with DHOs and Provincial Program Managers shortly. • LLIN distribution strategy is developed by the Co-PR Save the Children International, it is already shared with DHS/Provincial Program Managers. • According to SOPs provided by DMC, EDOs office will record the stock received in stock book and manage the distribution process. Decision • Each district health Office will compile district Malaria data from each health facility by the end of first week of each month and share with their respective Provincial Malaria Program and DMC. • Merlin pledged to pay the liabilities of the district focal person Sibi. • SRs and DHOs will identify high endemic facilities/areas for proper distribution of LLINs and IRS.   10. Decision • Zhob was highly endemic district but now cases are decreased due to better usage of LLINs and proper utilization of diagnostic services other districts should also follow the pattern for desired impact. • DHO Loralai promised that he will provide the space to the Merlin for the storage of LLINs in DHQ.   11. Decision • Associations for Social Development (ASD) and NRSP along with district health teams of Khairpur and Thatta will conduct mapping of highly endemic areas /UCs/Health facilities and will identify the risk factors causing increase in the malaria cases at district Khairpur and Thatta. • Mr.Jaipal Singh Entomologist will plan to conduct Entomological Survey in the districts along with M&E officers and SRs at those areas where malaria cases are highly reported.   12. Decision • SRs will enhance the coordination with PPHI for the better utilization resources in the districts. • DOMC will provide extra support for proper coverage of IRS in Lakki Marwat and Khairpur districts. PSM, DOMC, GFATM R-10
