  1. The Purpose of Communion

  2. Remembrance I Cor. 11: 25 “do this in remembrance of Me."

  3. 1Co 11:26 For "as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you show" the Lord's death until He shall come.

  4. Warning 1Co 11:27 So that whoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup of the Lord unworthily, he will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

  5. 1Co 11:29 For he who eats and drinks unworthily eats and drinks condemnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30 For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and many sleep.

  6. Examination 1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup.

  7. The Means of Examination Psa 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts, 24 and see if any wicked way is in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.

  8. Result of Examination No judgment 1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.

  9. Fellowship In The Light

  10.  I Jn. 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from “all” sin.

  11. The Two Extremes Light Darkness

  12. God Is Light Light Penetrates Darkness Light Exposes things In The Darkness

  13. Evil Thoughts Revenge Pro 24:8 He who plots to do evil shall be called a master of wicked thoughts. Lust Sowing Discord

  14. Sinful deeds and Attitudes Stealing Bitterness Pride Lying Unforgivness Anger Gossip

  15. To walk in darkness is to be blind There are two kinds of blindness:

  16. 1. Willful Jam 4:17 Therefore to him who knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin. Gen 4:7 If you do well, shall you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin crouches at the door;

  17. 2. Ignorant Pro 24:12 If you say, Behold, we did not know; does not He who searches the heart consider it?

  18. The walk in the light is blessing. It is Where God is. It is His very nature. God is love. God is Spirit. God is a consuming fire. God is Light

  19. Communion Takes Us Back To This And Looking forward to this

  20. The Provisional “If we walk in light” I Pet. 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

  21. Our Freedom and Means To Fellowship The Light Robs Satan Of All His Power

  22. The Promise I Jn. 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from “all” sin.
