Whiskey Rebellion: We’re done with Revolutions • The Government taxes on whiskey manufacturers to pay the war debt. • The tax hits farmers hard because they harvest corn to make whiskey. • The farmers rebel. “TAX?!?! – Thems fighting words!” • Washington rides out with 13,000 men to end the rebellion.
