  6. Find the numerator AND denominator in one of the columns

  7. And look left

  8. 8 12 2 3 reduces to

  9. But what if you saw 8 and 12 here? Look left

  10. You see 4 and 6 8 12 4 6 = So far, so good

  11. Now find the 4 and 6 in the same column Look left

  12. reduces to 2 3 4 6

  13. Whatever you do to the bottom, 2 2 you have to do to the top
