Academic Seminar: Software Workshop Office of the VP for Academics This project aims to help the members gain basic and adequate skills in the usage of various Microsoft Office and Chemistry software. Topics: Transition from Microsoft Office 97-2003 to 2007 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Basic Chemistry Freeware (Chemsketch, etc.). Target date: December 14  Committees needed: 1.PromoDocu (2) 2. Finance (2)

  7. Career Exploration Talk (in partnership with DLSU Chemsoc) Office of the VP for Academics This project aims to provide the members and those of other chemistry societies more or less an actual picture of what career paths they can pursue after graduation, given a background in chemistry. Target Date: January 23Committees needed: Programs and Secretariat (6) Finance and Marketing (6) Promotions and Documentations (5) Logistics (3)

  8. A-Problem-A-Week Office of the VP for Academics This year-long project aims to promote academic excellence through a weekly dose of chemistry problems. One problem per week will be given for each batch (1st to 4th year), and one member per house must submit an answer. Correct entries will merit house points, and a prize will be raffled off among correct submissions at the end of the week. Target date: YEAR-LONG

ACheS Library and Tutorials Office of the VP for Academics This year-long project aims to promote academic excellence through providing members with the necessary assistance in terms of references and tutors to be readily available to aid in their learning and development in the field of Chemistry Target date: YEAR-LONG

Build-a-Lab Office of the VP for ESP Project Head: Leo Sala Build-a-Lab aims to aid MandaluyongCity Science HS by providing laboratory Manuals, teacher training, and laboratory materials to the school. Target date: YEAR-LONG Committees needed: Logistics (5) Finance & Marketing (5) Documentations (5) Public Relations (5)

  12. ChemKit 2.0 Office of the VP for ESP ChemKit 2.0 is a follow-up project to last year’s ChemKit that aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the ChemKits that were distributed and to update the kits to suit the needs of the teachers and students. Target date: YEAR-LONG Committees needed: Logistics (5) Finance & Marketing (5) Documentations (5) Public Relations (5)

  14. Christmas Party Office of the VP for ISP The ACheS Christmas Party is the organization’s celebration of the season of Christmas. It is a venue in which members can form bonds of friendship and enjoy various activities Target Date: December 18, 2009 Committees: Logistics (15) Programs (5) Secretariat (3) Decors (8) Promotions, Publications and Documentations (3)

  15. Valentines’ GA Office of the VP for ISP The Valentines GA is the organization’s Valentines’ Day event catered to the members to provide more avenues for member relations. This year, the Valentines’ GA is set to be bigger than ever as it would also double as the DLSU-AteneoChemSocs’ Acquaintance Party. The event will provide opportunities for ACheS members to get-over the ancient school rivalry with the Greens and mingle and meet new people. This would also cement the newly formed alliance between both societies.   16. Sportsfest Office of the VP for ISP The Sportsfest is one of ACheS’ main thrust in realizing the holistic formation of its members, as well as, in encouraging stronger member relations. Here, the houses are pitted against each other in different sports and games to earn house points and, of course, have fun. ACheS Recollection Office of the VP for ISP The ACheS Recollection aims to help the members grow as integral members of the Atenean community by integrating spirituality with the development of self, beliefs and character.   19. ACheS Shirt Design Contest and Sale Office of the VP for D&P The Shirt Design Contest and Sale aims to encourage member creativity and promote organization awareness within Ateneo. A contest will be held to search for the next shirt design among entries submitted by the members. The winning design will be sold as the next ACheS shirt.   21. ACheS-cursion (Family Day) Office of the VPforPersonnel ACheS’ annual family day where there is fun and games and a hefty amount of friendly competition. Aside from this, there is also food and more bonding session (hopefully). It’s like team building GA in a grander outdoor scale.
