  2. The Government of India (GOI) has initiated the SEVERAL programs in SME sectors to enhance Productivity and Quality

  3. Improving Quality in Products • In order to improve the product quality of the MSE (Micro and Small Enterprise) sector, this scheme covers various activities such as: • Introduction of appropriate modules for technical institutions, • Organizing awareness campaigns, • Organizing competition watch (C-Watch), • Implementing quality management standards and quality technology tools in selected MSEs, • Monitoring international study missions, and • Impact studies of the initiatives.

  4. Awareness on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) The scheme aims to foster Indian MSMEs to attain leading positions globally, and seeks to empower these units with the IPR tools to protect their innovations.

  5. Barcode Certification • The certification enables higher export price realization • The adoption of Barcode certification is being encouraged among MSMEs under this scheme by reimbursing 75 per cent of the annual certification fee (recurring) in the initial three years.

  6. Cluster Development Program for Enhancing Productivity • The Ministry of MSMEs announced this program, which aims at increasing the productivity, competitiveness and capacity of MSMEs. • Clusters are provided financial assistance for the preparation of Diagnostic Study Report and infrastructure development of the Common Facility Centre

  7. Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) Considering the importance of MSMEs in the nations employment generation, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) announced a national level credit-linked subsidy scheme.

  9.  Funding support for conducting assessment of IPR related needs of MSMEs

  10. Funding support for implementing ‘Lean Manufacturing’ projects

  11. Tooling and Training Centers • This includes incorporation of tool rooms and training centers as a facility to MSMEs.

  12. Funding support for setting up ‘Mini Tool Rooms’

  13. Funding for organizingAwareness programs on Energy Efficiency

  14. Funding for implementing pilot projects on ‘Energy Efficient Technologies’

  15. Participation in ‘Energy Efficiency’ workshop

  16. Funding support for 'Product Certifications'

  17. Funding support for preparing cluster level ‘Detailed Project Report (DPR)’

  18. Funding support for preparing cluster level ‘Diagnostic Study Report (DSR)’

  19. Funding support for setting up of ‘Common Facility Centres'

  20. Participate in awareness programs on ‘Cluster Development’

  21. Capital subsidy support on credit for Technology Up-gradation

  22. Reimbursement of certification fees for acquiring ISO Standards
