  4. Objectives • To create a marketable and profitable submarine to sell for real world companies • Efficient • Relatively cheap to make

  5. Accomplishments • Designated team leaders and divided into specialized work areas • Separated team into two sub-teams to research different propulsion systems • Omni-directional vs. Fixed propulsion system • Sorted and organized materials and design/construction space

  6. Research • Dynamic ballast • Wireless control system • Efficient propellers/motors

  7. In the weeks to come… • Design models for both submarine concepts • Buy parts that cannot be salvaged from previous year’s subs • Test propulsion systems

  8. Fundraising • Brochure in the works to tell potential sponsors about our team • Plan to approach local companies for monetary donations

  9. Budget • Currently $1000 • Plan to spend only on necessary materials

  10. Where we are going • Chicago Regional Event • Hawaii International Competition
