  2. Parent Meeting • Welcome! • Belles et Beaux Parents • Femmes Fatales Parents • Belles et Beaux/Femmes Fatales Band Parents • Belles et Beaux/Femmes Fatales Crew Parents

  3. Parent Meeting • Costumes – Tiffany Hine • Students are responsible for keeping track of their own costumes, pieces and accessories. All need to be hung up and put away after every rehearsal and performance! Please make sure that everything is labeled with your child’s name or initials. • A bag check will be done before every competition to make sure all performance costumes, etc. are ready to go. • Please talk to your child to make sure he/she understands the importance of keeping track of everything in the homeroom during each competition.

Parent Meeting • Costumes • All Beaux need the following: • White “under armor” type shirt to be worn under their outfit. • No boxers - White compression shorts are being ordered for every Beaux • Black belts • Black socks that fit over the calf • All Belles/Femmes need the following: • Clear bra straps • Caboodle to keep makeup, brushes, toiletries organized

  5. Parent Meeting • Costumes • All boy’s hair must be cut above the eyes or slicked back away from the face. Longer hair must be in a tight ponytail. • No facial hair

Parent Meeting • Competition Dates • January 25 – Fishers HS • February 6 – Hair/Makeup/Costume Night for Pictures • February 20 – Community Preview • February 22 – Mooresville HS • March 1 – Avon HS • March 8 – North Central HS • March 15 – Mundelein HS • March 20 – State Show Choir Finals Preview • March 22 – ISSMA Class B State Show Choir Finals

Parent Meeting • Mundelein HS Overnight Trip • March 14-16 • Leave after school on Friday, March 14 • Take coach busses • Accommodations: DoubleTree Hotel in Mundelein, Illinois • Saturday spent at competition • Return Sunday, March 16 • Sunday: • Browse/Shop/Tour Michigan Avenue and close vicinity • Eat lunch at “Pie in the Sky” – Giordano’s Pizza at the top of Willis Tower • Visit the top of Willis Tower

Parent Meeting • Mundelein HS Overnight Trip • Pricing below includes: • Two nights at the DoubleTree Hotel in Mundelein, Illinois • Breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings • Coach bus to and from Chicago • Lunch at “Pie in the Sky” and entrance to Willis Tower • Pricing is for students and chaperones. All students will be charged the quad rate. • Quad: $155 • Triple: $175 • Double: $205 • Single: $305

Parent Meeting • Mundelein HS Overnight Trip • Need chaperones to ride bus and stay in hotel with choir members • Send payment for rooms to school treasurer • You may use student account funds if a balance exists. Please send a note to Margaret Humrichouser stating this intent. • Payment for both students and adults is due February 14. • Your child will need money for the following meals: • Friday dinner • Saturday lunch and dinner .

Parent Meeting • How A Competition Works • Arrive in the morning to assigned homeroom used for changing, etc. • If time, watch other groups before performance • Begin dressing, fixing hair, applying makeup, etc. • Perform in prelims • Cross fingers to make finals • All begins again for finals performance • Awards given usually at about midnight!

Parent Meeting • What parents can do during competition performances: • Wear polo shirt or school colors • Wear glow in the dark star or ? • Whoop and holler during dance breaks • Take the “High Road” when hearing parents talk about how much greater their child’s group is than the one currently performing (our group)! • Enjoy the tremendous energy only teenagers can exude! It is infectious!

Parent Meeting • Parent Help Opportunities • Dads are needed to help load and unload the equipment truck both at school and competition site • Moms are needed to hang out in the homerooms to help with hair, makeup, clothing, emergency costume repair, hugs, and general support and supervision • Treat Bags
