Monday EC Meeting- San Diego • Introduce Sam Sciaca-new SA Director of Technical Activities • SA is now providing a web meeting option for the WGs • Discussed changes to Sponsor P&P around voting rules, electronic meetings, clarification of what happens when voting rights are lost, and other misc. items • James discussed proposed new scope for 802.24. Comments are due by 5pm Tues just like for PARs • John D’ambrosia provided an update on the 802 Business Development mission Robert F. Heile, ZigBee Alliance

  3. Monday EC Meeting- San Diego • Jon Rosdahl reported on future venue contract status and PCO RFP. Venue Meeting Weds AM1 • Treasurer’s Report: Full report on EC Mentor. YE2013 reserve 1.3M. Beijing meeting loss was $403k. Current reserve is $894k. San Diego is also expected to be a little short. • 802 Task Force meeting is Thurs AM1 • Roger reviewed 802.16 Project Schedules • 802.19 will lead the effort to draft a response to 3GPP comments Liaison request on LTE unlicensed. • EC meetings for the week posted on the board Robert F.   4. Monday EC Meeting- San Diego • Andrew Myles reported on JTC1 activities (EC-0042r0). 802 has six standards in the pipeline. See report for full details. Next JTC1 meeting is in London • Glen Parsons reviewed the 802 ITU Standing Committee work. Objective is not to interfere with current liaisons but to track on- going points of interest and activity. There will be a meeting Weds AM1 to review more detail on activity and determine whether any 802 positions are needed. See EC 0046 r0 for more detail • Pat Thaler gave an update on IEEE/IETF Coordination Committee. Things moving smoothly. Just need to finalize Sept face to face. • Adrian provided an overview of desire to formalize the Wireless Chairs Meeting/Activity as an EC Standing Committee. See doc EC 0014 Robert F.   5. Monday EC Meeting- San Diego • Paul reported on 1905.1 Liaison request. Still little progress from the WG or the SA on the lack of openness. • Paul reviewed Transportation SCC status. Action was tabled until August. Issue is what is the purpose and what is its authority. • There is a BoF on Emerging Applications Weds “instead” of a social. The will some short presentations and a discussion of any relevant topics relating to emerging applications. F&B will start at 615pm with BoF starting around 7pm. • David Law gave a brief report on PatCom policy revisions. Jon Rosdahl will post this report on EC Mentor Robert F. Heile, ZigBee Alliance
