    • So they could know Paul’s situation, Col. 4:7-9
    • So they could be comforted, 6:22
      • By knowing of Paul’s condition and faithfulness
      • By the assurance contained in this epistle
        • God has accomplished His eternal purpose for human redemption in Christ – do not lose heart! 3:11-13, 20-21
    • We can follow this example of care

      • He had Paul’s confidence (fellow servant)
      • He had shown himself trustworthy, Acts 20:4 (2 Cor. 8:23)
      • Such faithfulness is a rare commodity (Phil. 2:20-23)
