  1. HIFI Critical Design Review ICU Programmatics, Resources and Implementation Readiness Renato Orfei IFSI-CNR

  2. ICU Programmatics • The main programmatic problem is the funds availability at the “right” moment at IFSI. • ASI in under deep re-organization and probably the contract ASI/CNR (to transfer funds from ASI to CNR) instead of being approved every year will be done only once for the whole programme length (with evident beneficial effects). • The contract ASI/CGS is managed independently from the contract ASI/CNR and there should not be problems.

  3. ICU Resources • The temporary problem for the SW development is over, the help of AUDIONICA was necessary but we are sure that we can go on progressing with our own specialists: • A.M. Di Giorgio • Riccardo Cerulli • Sergio Molinari (CDMS topics) • Giovanni Liu’ (CDMS topics) • CGS help for the PROM SW is available • The HIFI provided S/Ss simulator is performing well and we are confident that we can keep it here at IFSI for the ongoing debugging/development of the AVM, EQM and FM.

  4. Implementation • The AVM HW with a preliminary SW was delivered on the 13th of November. • For the EQM manufacturing (namely DC/DC converter) we are still waiting ASI to issue the Project Directive #4: the updating of the power provided to the FCU is the main change between the AVM and the EQM-FM. • The delay for the issuing of the PD #4 is again due to the ASI re-organization. • Once solved the procedure started with the PD # 4 we do not see further problems for the implementation of the EQM-FM.
