  2. Objectives related to main areas: • The status of arts in primary & secondary education • The status of arts in teacher education • The status of knowledge and learning in arts education • The status of the UNESCO’s Seoul Agenda goals

  3. Arts in primary & secondary education • To map the status of arts in primary and secondary education in a way that makes it possible to do comparative presentation/ research - IF and HOW different art subjects are part of national ”formal” curricula - How the curricula are realized in teaching hours, teaching materials and assessment of learning outcome

  4. Arts in teacher education • To map the status of arts in teacher education in a way that makes it possible to do comparative presentation/research - study programs given for arts subjects and how these are organised - qualifications/ certifications needed to teach arts in primary & secondary education

  5. Status of knowledge and learning • To descibe which concepts/views of knowledge and learning that is basic in arts education - How this is implemented and demonstrated in the teaching and learning process in different art subjects and in arts integrated education

  6. Status of UNESCO’s Seoul Agenda • GOAL 1: Ensure that arts education is accessible as a fundamental and sustainable component of a high quality renewal of education • GOAL 2: Assure that arts education activities and programmes are of a high quality in conception and delivery • GOAL 3: Apply arts education principles and practices to contribute to resolving the social and cultural challenges facing today’s world
