General Aim of the Project Let Us Keep Alive Our Folk Traditions, Customs and Art
turning to the best account of the local customs from the community perspective, with a special emphasis on the professional orientation and social insertion • achievement of audio-visual documentary supplies for the evaluation of folk traditions especially inter-cultural dissemination of culture • development of aesthetic interests and promotion of our national character and of the other ethnic nationalities • development of the spirit of European culture membership as well as turning to the best account of the local economical potential • involvement of families and local authorities in the decisions concerning the educational politics and the support of schools in rising their non-formal educational quality • opening of channels to inform the local community and connect people to the economical reality of other European communities • requirement of a typical atmosphere and a personalized ethos in schools Special aims
The following activities taken place within the framework of the project: • initiation of a school group with the aim:”Let’s redeem our local customs !” • a school club: “The little egg-painter” • finding information on the custom of egg painting and identification of traditional patterns • pupils’ initiation sessions under the assistance egg painting folk experts • pupils’ documentary and promotional visits to Iasi on the egg painting technique custom • exhibitions of painted eggs and technical egg painting sessions on the occasion of meetings and local holidays • participation in fairs and exhibits • publication of Egg painter Guide accompanied by a CD • yearly manifestation entitled “Persistence of century old traditions in egg painting”
Target Group • twenty pupils ,members of “ Let’s redeem our local customs” initiation group • twenty pupils ,members of The Little Egg painter “ school club • six teachers
The expected outcome -discovery of local traditions and customs and their capitalization in the social and economical life of our community -promotion of mutual understanding and respect for the cultural values of each ethnic nationality -promotion of the inter-cultural dialogue
The expected outcome - publcation of a guide and CD for egg painters(500 copies) - publication of a multimedia album with images taken by pupils during their documentary trips - preoccupation for the rising of artistic and technical quality of the little craftsmen - publication of posters and distribution of promotional multimedia supplies - preoccupation for the pupils’ interest in the liberal profession of folk trade
Achievements:: • Two workshops for the activity of the two school clubs • Regular sessions for the initiation of children in the art of egg painting under the assistance of a folk handicraftsmen • Info and data basis on the traditionaal patterns and symbols • Hystorical legends and customs in egg painting • A permanent school exhibition with the pupils’painted eggs • 500 copies of egg-painter guide entitled: “The Art of Egg Painting”
