WWF: Giant Panda conservation

World Wildlife Fund is working with legendary composer and performer Yanni to raise awareness of giant panda conservation. The giant panda is the rarest member of the bear family and among the world’s most threatened animal. It is universally loved, and has a special significance for WWF as it has been the organization's logo since 1961, the year WWF was founded. Yanni was inspired to help WWF protect giant pandas after he “adopted” a two-month old panda cub at the Chinese Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in October 2011. For more information on giant pandas and the partnership, please visit worldwildlife.org/pandas.
