In a candid chat, the actress has spoken in detail about the alleged affair between her and Ranveer, which has been doing rounds in the media lately.

Those of you who love to talk about Ranveer-Sonakshi affair, here is the update. In a latest interview Sonakshi Sinha has rubbished reports of link-up between her and her current co-actor Ranveer Singh.
Talking about the alleged love affair, Sonakshi says, "Ranveer is not my type at all. Such link-up reports affect me at times since I am answerable to my parents. I don't know why someone would try to misconstrue our professional chemistry."
While Sonakshi might deny being romantically involved with Ranveer, the actress however holds him in great esteem. Says she, "He's full of energy, and just the opposite of what I am as an actor. "
"He likes to prepare for his scenes and rehearse a lot; you know what you call method acting. He continues to stay in character even when the camera is switched off. I, on the other hand, hate to rehearse and I switch off with the camera. It makes for an interesting combination and it shows on screen," she added.
Ranveer and Sonakshi will be part of Vikramaditya Motwani's upcoming directorial venture titled LOOTERA.
Sonakshi's career is also going great guns. She is also slated to play the female lead in the sequel to Race. For Race 2, Saif Ali Khan wanted Kareena Kapoor to be the lead, but Sonakshi was finalised at the last moment.
It was Salman Khan who motivated Sonakshi by asking her to lose weight and give films a serious thought. She has mentioned in many interviews that shedding almost 30 kgs felt more like an emotional journey as she had to give up many favourite things to achieve her goal.
The constant public discussion about her weight didn't irk her at all. 201cPeople can talk about what they want. Reports of an Anushka- Sonakshi tiff started doing the rounds ever since the latter claimed on a chat show that she had a little crush on Ranveer. The Anushka- Ranveer affair was just about starting then.
Sonakshi and Ranveer happened to perform together at the IIFA awards in Toronto this year. Initially Anushka had to perform with Ranveer but since she could not make it to Toronto, Sonakshi took over. After which the duo got close to each other. Anushka reportedly got irked by this, and she parted ways with Ranveer.
