01 WHY BERLIN FRESHMAN YEAR

Join Berlin Freshman Year program

for international students to enter

into a widely accepted undergradua-

te program at a German university.

Join the Freshman Year program and

prepare yourself for Germany in Ger-

many. During three semesters of the

program you are preparing yourself

for undergraduate studies alongside

with other international students by

experiencing an international lear-

ning community through developing

• critical thinking,

• team work,

• effective communication skills and

• networking.

Graduating from the Freshman

Year program enables you to per-

form in an academic setting where

studies are in German, far away

from your family and friends.

Study in Germany means to benefit from

a high standard educational system to

help you to advance in your career, learn

a new language, discover European cul-

ture and gain an amazing life experience

with students not only from Germany

but also from all over the world to re-

member for years – studying and living

as an international student in Germany.

Study in Germany means to acquire a

degree recognized globally and valued

highly in the international job market.

Germany as industrialized high tech

country hosts inventions by world famous

scientists such as Werner Heisenberg,

Carl Bosch, Albert Einstein, Friedrich

Gauss and at least thousands others.

The Program is divided into three

semesters. And apart from German

as a foreign language, the subjects

taught during the three semester

course cover a wide range of subjects

for qualifying for university entry.

specialized vocabulary and some

further general subjects. Moreover,

you will take part in offered work-

shops that will prepare you for extra

curricular presentations and holding

projects at your future university.

First semester will be strongly fo-

cused on German language learning

and cross-cultural competences. In

the beginning of the second semester

students will have to chose between

3 study tracks: Engineering, Econo-

mics & Business or Social Sciences.

Once completing the program stu-

dents will have a smooth transi-

tion to the university and will be

able to adapt to the environment of

a German university very well.

Additionally there are plenty of ex-

cursions which are an integral part of

the program. These excursions allow

students to visit architectural, techni-

cal and industrial sights as well as the

potential universities in Germany for

getting an idea about their preferred

universities and respective courses.

Second and third semester are focu-

sed on introducing you to you choo-
