Purpose • The commission has decided to award a grant, under the terms and conditions set out in the Special Condition, the General Conditions and the Annexes to the agreement, which the beneficiary declares he has taken note of and accepts, for the action entitled • TD – PREPARING STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS IN THE FLAT WORLD (“THE ACTION”) • EU kommissionen: • € 675.399,00 ( ca 6 278 846 SEK) • FIPSE USA: • US$ 700.000,00 ( ca 5 022 150,00 SEK ) • Dvs totalt ca knappt 14 milj SEK under 4 år för att årsvis finansiera max 24 studenter att studera i Europa och USA under 2 år.

Saxat ur: http://www.liu.se/ffk/aktuellt/ekonom_int.htm • Ekonomutbildningarna vid LiU medverkar i ett internationaliseringsprojekt • Ekonomutbildningarna vid LiU, dvs Civilekonomprogrammet och Internationella civilekonomprogrammet, har blivit inbjudna att medverka i ett internationaliseringsprojekt, intitierat av Internationella civilekonomprogrammets partneruniversitet i Lyon, INSEEC. • ECE - INSEEC i Lyon, Linköpings universitet och två universitet i Chicago deltar i ett projekt inom ramen för ett EU-finansierat projekt som heter ATLANTIS. Det handlar om ett samarbete mellan universitetsutbildningar i USA och Europa. • Sex studenter från vardera av de deltagande universiteten, dvs 6 franska, 6 svenska och 12 amerikanska studenter, erbjuds att delta i detta projekt. För LiUs del innebär detta tre studenter från vardera ekonomutbildning. Studentgruppen på 24 personer kommer att vara sammanhållen under de två år som projektet löper. Finansieringen för den enskilde studenten är generös (inga skolavgifter, stor del av boende- och resekostnader täcks). • Vilka studenter från LiU som kommer att få möjligheten att medverka beslutas senare i vår. Deltagandet kommer att innebära studier i Lyon ht 2007 (kurser ges på engelska för de studenter som inte kan franska), studier vid LiU vt 2008, där det också ingår en kandidatuppsats. Det fjärde året (ht 2008 och vt 2009) sker studierna vid något av universiteten i Chicago - Western Illinois University eller DePaul University. • Efter dessa två år får studenten en bachelorexamen från USA och en kandidatexamen från Linköping. Därefter kan studenten läsa fjärde året på Civilekonomprogrammet eller söka en tvåårig masterutbildning, vid LiU eller annorstädes

För LiU studenter • År 4 vt ht Läses antingen vid WIU eller DePaul • ht tills m 3 stud fr ECE, Lyon, 3 stud fr WIU, Ill., 3 stud fr DePaul Univ Chicago • Svenska studenter kan därefter välja: • 1. att avsluta sina studier med en double degree • (Ek kand fr LiU och BSc fr WIU el DePaul) • 2. läsa vidare 1 år och avsluta med en civilekonomexamen • 3. söka till 2-årigt masterprogram och avsluta med en Master i Business Admistration • (plus en BBA från LiU och en BSC från WIU el DePaul) • a. avsluta studierna och börja arbeta • b. söka till forskarutbildning

The Department of Information Management and Decision Sciences (IMDS) provides a major curriculum in Information Management (IM) at the main campus in Macomb and the Quad Cities campus in Moline. • IM concentrates on departmental and corporate information systems including networking, telecommunications planning and management, business systems analysis, business database management, decision support systems, management of information technology, applied business forecasting and regression analysis and e-commerce systems development and management. • Information Management graduates are trained for a wide variety of information management related careers: • business systems analyst, end-user computing manager, end-user support person, management support specialist, systems manager, communications manager or analyst, information services director, microcomputer support manager, systems administration manager, systems and procedures analyst, information management consultant, information support analyst, systems coordinator, data services coordinator, business analyst, database analyst, database manager and related careers.

The minimum semester hour requirement for the baccalaureate degree is 120 s.h. • I.
