  2. What is a farm bureau? • A farm bureau is a bureau where people can look over farms and find if there is anything wrong with the farm.

  3. Regulations Presentation by: Eric Legott We are for: Regulations on hog farming. • Ex. If the regulations on a farm do not meet the requirements then the pigs could get sick. • And the pigs would have to get slaughtered.

  5. CAFOs Presentation by: Justin Twist We are for: CAFO (Confined Animal Feeding Organization) • What is a CAFO? A CAFO is a set amount of pigs for one certain farm. • A medium CAFO consists of 700 - 2499 hogs. • A large CAFO consists of 2,500 hogs and have more standards.

  6. Nutrition Presentation by: Becky Chapin We are for: Nutrition • If the pigs are fed right then they won’t get sick. • If the pigs get sick then there will be no meat for that batch of pigs because the pigs will have to be slaughtered and then the pig house will have to decontaminated.
