Consultative Bureau for International Projects The Consultative Bureau for International Projects is an extension of the work of the Ministry of Science sector for International Cooperation, set up in March 2008 with the aim to strengthen the presence of and success rate for Serbian scientists in international projects, particularly FP7.

  3. Consultative Bureau for International Projects Objectives • Improving the quality and the quantity of Serbian participation in research EU programmes (particularly FP7) • Providing information on financial possibilities, current opportunities for scientific and technological co-operation at the European level and on available results of Community research • Offering assistance and training to universities, research centres and other organisations interested in participating in European research, development and technological innovation programmes

Consultative Bureau for International Projects How can we help you? • We (and NCPs) can inform you of the opportunities that are available for your science in FP7 • We can help you convert your ideas into a successful research proposal, by • discussing with you the challenges of writing a proposal for an international project, • advising you how to put together a consortium for an international collaborative project, • giving you practical help with writing an FP7 research proposal.

Consultative Bureau for International Projects How can we help you? • We can assess an unsuccessful FP6 or FP7 proposal to advise you on how to succeed next time • We can help you to become a partner in someone else’s research consortium • We have a partner profile form for your expertise to be put on a database searchable by EU scientists

Consultative Bureau for International Projects How can we help you? • We (and NCPs) can send you the most recent information on the FP7 Themes • We can help overcome problems during the contract negotiation phase • We can give help and advice if needed during a project and help preparing Commission reports

Consultative Bureau for International Projects Our current activities • To meet the scientists and find out about their research and opportunities for international projects. • To help disseminate information on FP7 calls. • To encourage scientists to prepare FP7 projects. • To set up a web-based database of details of Serbian scientists to facilitate finding project partners. • To provide training courses in successful proposal writing.

Consultative Bureau for International Projects Training activities • A series of training courses “How to write a successful FP7 proposal” (focusing particularly on the REGPOT-2009 call) • 3 courses held so far in (2 inBelgrade and 1 in Novi Sad) • New courses in: • Kragujevac (28 October) • Niš (30 October) • Belgrade (29, 31 October and 26 November) • Novi Sad (2 December)

Consultative Bureau for International Projects Training activities • The courses • -analyse the main results and evaluators' comments for REGPOT-2008-1proposals,- explain the strategy needed for successful proposal writing,- provide examples of suitable text- explain what is needed for REGPOT-2009 proposals- provide exercises for participants to complete
