How do words become… words? • Words are made by usage • More popular = better the chance • Word is viewed and added to the dictionary. • Editors search for new words • New appearances, new spellings, new uses. • Upon the discovery of the word they are then put into computer readable text with citations containing the word itself, use of the word, and the source of this word.

  3. Omg srsly? Yes, “srsly” is a word. This is the definition of “srsly” according to the Oxford Dictionary First appeared in the 18th century in a manual on shorthand. It is the internet short version of the word seriously.
