Strategy for Kharif Production • Green Manuring and Timely sowing. • Seed Replacement Rate with Hi-yielding/ Hybrid seeds / varieties. • Promoting use of Micro Nutrient alongwith Phosphorus & Potash Fertilizers. • Better Water Management. • Monitoring of Pesticides residues level on food stuffs.

Item No.1- PREPARENESS FOR KHARIF COMPAIGN 2007: ENSURING FOOD SECURITY. • Intensification of Public Awareness Programmes. • Soil Health Management, drawl of soil samples, testing, issue of soil Health Cards, Integrated Nutrient Management. • Soil reclamation, green manuring. • Ensuring availability of Quality Inputs, Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides including Bio. • Seed Replacement Rate and Timely sowing. • Intensification of Supporting Services. • Integrated Pest Management • Agriculture Credit

  9. Item No.2 : STRENGTENING OF ISOPOM CSS FOR PRODUCTION OF PULSES AND OILSEEDS. • NCT of Delhi is not implementing ISOPOM CSS Scheme but promoting production of pulses and oilseeds under Macro Management Mode

Item No.3 : DEVELOPMENT OF QUALITY SEEDS OF PULSES IN ADEQUATE QUANTITY The requirement of Seeds is limited, which is met from I.A.R.I., N.S.C., S.F.C.I., Seed Producers and Private Agencies. i) Soil Testing Laboratory : One (Capacity 5000 Samples) ii) Seed Testing Laboratory : One (Capacity 3000 Samples) iii) Pesticides Testing Laboratory : No Laboratory * * Note : Facility of Regional Pesticides Laboratory, Dte. of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage (P.P.Q.&S) is being availed.

Item No. 4: Extension Reforms Scheme through ATMA Model N.C.T. of Delhi has also adopted Extension Reforms Scheme and fallowing activity have been completed: • Constitution of all Committees and ATMA • Orientation Training Programme • Preparation of Strategic Research and Extension Plan (SREP) and being sent to MANAGE for vetting.

Item No. 5: REVAMPING OF THE NATIONAL HORTICULTURE MISSION AND STRENTHENING OF POST HARVEST MANAGEMENT N.C.T. of Delhi is also Implementing National Horticultural Mission for promoting production of vegetables, fruits, flowers • Constitution of all Committees • Formation of Society • Finalization of guidelines • Identification of beneficiaries. Note : The Action Plan on Horticulture for 2007-08 is to be prepared as per Revised Guidelines of Revamping of National Horticulture Mission

Item No. 6: ROAD MAP TO ACHIEVE 4% GROWTH RATE FROM AGRICULTURE AND ALLIED SECTOR. • Efforts on following activity :- i) Area Expansion • Reclamation of degrading, cultivable waste and fallow land • Vegetables including exotic, mushroom, floriculture cropping pattern. • Yield Improvement • Soil Health and Nutrient Management • Water Management • Seed Management • Farm Mechanization Contd.
