  2. The California State University System The CSU is the largest public system, and one of the most affordable systems of higher education in the country with 23 campuses, 427,000 students and 44,000 employees.Over 2 million persons and 1/10 of CA workers are CSU Alumni, including: 2/3 of all CA engineers 4/5 of those who keep the state running: teachers, criminal justice professionals, social workers and public administrators. The CSU is the nation's most diverse higher education institution. The focus of the CSU is “hands-on learning” and practical application!

  3. Things you may not know about the CSU • 17 CSU campuses have no “majority race” • Nearly 5000 CSU students “studied abroad” in 50 different nations last year • Ten CSU alumni from seven different CSU campuses have become NASA astronauts • 12 CSU campuses are among the top 20 US comprehensive institutions in alumni, who earn doctoral degrees (HSU is one of them!). • •For every $1 invested by the state, the CSU generates $5.43 for California's economy.

Below 2.0 does not qualify for regular admission. **The CSU uses only the SAT scores for mathematics and critical reading Impacted CSU campuses can raise EI outside of service area, please contact individual campuses to learn more!

  8. Eligibility vs. Selectivity Selectivity: Specificcriteria or standardsthat each campus may apply to choose students who apply to impacted campuses or highly competitiveor oversubscribed majors Eligibility: Meeting minimum requirementsfor UC, CSU, Private Admission Requirements. Meeting Minimum eligibility does not mean that a student will be accepted to their 1st choice campus
