  1. Release Locked position The left picture is the release position and the right picture is the locked position. Don’t push the lock more than the locked position, this could damage the locks. Normally, the lock can’t pull back anymore than this, but there are rare instances in which it does. Or, the lock bolt could be too loose and may rise back up. The bolt inside the lock can be adjusted.

  2. To adjust the lock: take off the plastic cap (outside of lock handle), remove the bolt (7/16 socket), and move back the lock to release position, then twist the bolt back in. Or, if yours is too loose, just tighten the bolt.
