  4. Methods and Procedure The teacher will introduce vocabulary, and demonstrate how to solve perimeter and area problems.

  5. Introduction Step 1. Activate Prior Knowledge What do you know about perimeter and area?

  6. What is perimeter? The distance measured around an object.

  7. Look at the objects below You can use a ruler to measure shapes.

  8. Perimeter Use the graph paper to draw some triangles and measure them.

  9. Perimeter The formula to solve a triangle is P = a+b+c
