  2. Current Mechanisms for Training in Maharashtra State

  3. Institutions involved in training inspectors • Late Narayan Meghaji Lokhande Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies, Mumbai. • Yeshwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Adminstration, Pune.

  4. Type of trainings • Orientation training – It is specifically designed for new recruits and promotees as inspectors. • Refreshers training – It is for those who are already working as inspectors.

  5. Methods of Training • Lectures • Group discussions • Role play • Exercises

  6. Designing of training programme • Department conveys need to Institution. • Institute designs contents of training programme considering context. • Design aims to change mindset of trainees. • Accordingly Institute selects resource persons amongst Stakeholders like trade unionists, employers, Government Officials and academicians.
