Penjelasan tentang BML • Kapal bentuk kotak: BML = IL/V = (BL3)/(12V) = (BL3)/(12 x L x B x d) = L2/12d • Kapal bentuk prisma: BML = IL/V = (BL3)/(12x1/2xLxBxd) = L2/6d • Pada stabilitas membujur BG terlalu kecil dibandingkan dengan BML atau GML.
