Aims To contribute to evidence-informed policy development by providing a rounded and cumulative understanding of childhood wellbeing To make cutting edge research accessible in order to enhance the knowledge base on wellbeing To help take forward analytical and policy development in this area

  5. Theme Two: Projects • Addressing key areas of DCSF policy concern • Range of studies led by different members of the partnership • Variety of methodologies • Short and long-term studies • Utilising existing datasets

  6. Theme Two: Projects • Possible areas of exploration: • Quality of life in childhood • Data on child injury and safeguarding • Outcome measure for children and young people for use in cost effectiveness analyses • Patterns of relationships between wellbeing and learning

Theme Three : Knowledge Management • Translating research information into knowledge that can be utilised in the development of policy and practice • Applying understanding in the development of practical applications • Needs and perspectives of users inform all activities and outputs • Syntheses of research evidence; annual report on unit costs; evidence papers; website; conferences • Close liaison with other DCSF Centres and C4EO
