  2. HN 115 – Unit 3 Seminar Your Degree Plan This week you will begin to look at your Human Service Degree Plan and courses you will decide to take at Kaplan University. You will discuss the program outcomes and how they apply to the various classes and your study of human services You will also learn how to set realistic and meaningful educational and career goals in the field of human services to achieve your career objectives This is all covered in the reading for the week along with our discussion for the week.

  3. HN 115 – Unit 3 Seminar This week when you open the Reading Icon you will find all the information you will need for the start of your Unit 4 Project. Please read the text in the Reading Page which will tell you what you need to do with each document you will be reading this week. Then click and open the five documents. Now together we will look at the requirements and electives for your Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services.

HN 115 – Unit 3 Seminar Bachelor of Science in Human Services Degree Plan Bachelor Degree Requires 59 open elective courses 35 elective credits in 100/200 level courses And 24 elective credits in 300/400 level classes You will find the electives you can take for you degree at the bottom of the excel sheet. You will click on the tabs such as child development, substance abuse along with the rest of them so you can see what courses are available to you for your electives.

  10. HN 115 – Unit 3 Seminar Questions you need to ask yourself • Do you have transfer credits that may impact the design of your Degree Plan? 2. Do you have knowledge or experience in the human services field? If so, would you be interested in taking exams (Challenge or CLEP Exams) to help you obtain credit for knowledge that you might already have? 3. Would you be interested in taking a course (EL203) that can help students that come to Kaplan with some learning or work experiences and trainings that are equivalent to college level learning? 4. Do you have volunteer experiences, as they may come into play by taking a Service Learning Course? These questions are found under the Seminar Option 2

  11. HN 115 – Unit 3 Seminar This is an exciting time for you to pick your electives so you have the knowledge you need in the career you chose. Just a Few Reminders Do not wait until the last minute to put your degree plan together for this is the plan that Kaplan will be using to set up all of your classes. It is also your Unit 4 project! All questions are important so please email me if you have any questions. We will work out a plan to talk about your questions and find answers.
