  2. 2020 national population census • June, 2015 - UN announced the next round of population censuses in 2020 • September, 2016 - The Council of the Heads of State of the CIS decided to hold regular population censuses as close as possible by 2020 (from October 2019 to October 2020) www.stat.gov.kz 2

  4. 2020 national population census Preliminary bypass • Interviewer: • Interviews respondents in households; • Compiles lists of dwellings, buildings and non-residential premises in settlements; • Lists all the buildings of his registrar area with the number of the resident population for each dwelling, building and non-residential premises; • Conducts verification of compliance of cartographic material with the presence of buildings in its territory.   7. 2020 national population census • Using tablets will allow to achieve the following results: • decrease in labor costs of census personnel; • provides significant savings in paper and stationery; • improves the image and mobility of interviewers when collecting data; • small volume and weight of census tools. www.stat.gov.kz 7
