  2. Aghast (Scene 3) • (adjective) – suddenly overcome with shock or amazement Amy stood, aghast, and stricken with fear as the bear came walking towards her.

  3. Fiasco (Scene 3) • (noun) – a disaster, a catastrophe The argument between Michael and his father turned into a huge fiasco.

  4. Gesticulate (Scene 3) • (verb) – to express with motions or hand gestures When Jason got angry, he started to gesticulate his feelings with his hands.

  5. Importunately (Scene 4) • (adverb) – insistently or urgent in trying to call to action I importunately asked Nathaniel for help with my social studies project because I was failing the class.

  6. Brood (Scene 4) • (verb) – To think gloomily about something, to dwell on it Tom tends to brood over his situation at home
