The Constitution of… September 16, 2011Today is an A-Day! • You will now form your own Countries, Complete with your very own CONSTITUION!!!! Here are the steps to follow: • Get into a group of 3 or 4 • Decide on a name for your Country (school appropriate) • Create the basic government for your new nation (democracy, dictatorship, monarchy, etc.) • Develop a Bill of Rights or 10 laws that protect your citizens’ freedoms. You may pick whichever country you feel makes the strongest case. Remember a few things when writing: • You only have until the end of class! • It must be 3 paragraphs • Use transition words and proper grammar • CONVINCE me with evidence, not “because they were like, totally the best!!!;)”
