Established during 2nd quarter of 2013 to bring our collective global and Africa experiences; education and leadership experiences; and our love for Africa & development together. The Team members are working hard to establish themselves, compete and partner with established Management Consultancies and Communication Agencies. We believe there is room for us ALL to succeed.

T9 Founding Associates Alrina de Bruyn Alrina de Bruyn has an M.Com Business Management (MBA) degree from the University of Johannesburg, and has more than 15 years’ experience within the research, information & records/document management, archiving and project management fields. Jean Snikiwe Chawapiwa Jean has extensive experience in external affairs, communication and media in the mining sector, which included work on several divestments and acquisitions. She also represented Rio Tinto, Barrick Gold & Placer Dome on Chamber of Mines; BLSA (Business Leadership South Africa) WEF Africa; Nepad Business Forum (NBF); African Union; Mining Indaba and various other forums and conferences; wide-ranging national as well as various other African and international government meetings and engagements. Koffi Kouakou Koffi is a senior lecturer at the Wits University Public and Development Management (P&DM) where he teaches strategic government communications and scenario planning. He is the former Director of the Unilever Mandela Rhodes Academy for Communications and Marketing (UMRA), a Storyteller, Social Commentator, Business Strategist, Author and Futurist. Nonye Mpho Omotola Nonye is a Communications Specialist with over 15 years strategic brand experience gained in the UK, South Africa and Nigeria. She also contributes to a number of African media titles and has been a Guest Lecturer at Gordon’s Institute of Business to full time MBA students on Executing Marketing Strategies in Africa and senior executives on Business in Nigeria. Siza Majola With over 10 years’ combined experience in mining and education sectors, Siza possesses a broad range of leadership, management, commercial, technical (mining-exploration), strategy formulation, stakeholder management, communications, facilitation and project management skills. Aqualine Suliali Aqualine has a Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University. She has a certificate from the Rutgers Center For Management Development for a Mini MBA in Finance Essentials.

  14. Alrina de Bruyn Profile Alrina de Bruyn has more than 15 years experience within the Research, Information & Records / Document Management, Archiving and Project Management fields. Not only has she worked within the Banking & Financial industry, she has also worked extensively within the Mining industry, which gives her a very diverse field of experience. Passionate about Corporate Social Investment, Alrina has been involved in HIV/Aids information and teaching projects that reach into corporates and communities. Previously she was also involved in a Grow Acceleration programme which gave direct feedback to the Deputy Minister of Health at the time. She has attended HIV/Aids programme Master Training in Singapore on this and recently received an award for ‘Living the Values’ from Technology and Operations. Alrina de Bruyn has an M.Com Business Management (MBA)degree from the University of Johannesburg. She is very creative and a collector of artworks, both the old masters and young and upcoming South African & African art.   15. Aqualine Suliali Profile Aqualine Suliali has extensive experience from her own consultancy firm established in 2008 when she moved to South Africa from the USA. She has worked on various projects for Liberty Properties, Anglo Platinum, Standard Bank, Wes Bank, Liberty and ESCOM. Prior to relocating to South Africa, Aqualine was a Director at Community Investment Strategies, a real estate development firm in New Jersey, USA. She created and developed the management structure for the Property Management division. Previous to that, she worked at Conifer Realty, a real estate development firm as a Project Manager responsible for the management of affordable housing development projects and urban redevelopment efforts, including acquisition, predevelopment and financing. Aqualine has a Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University. She has a certificate from the Rutgers Center For Management Development for a Mini MBA in Finance Essentials. Jean Chawapiwa • Profile • Jean Chawapiwa is one of the few women who have reached the top in the South African mining industry, working at senior levels in the strategic communication and external affairs/government relations portfolios of three global mining companies, Rio Tinto, Barrick Gold and Placer Dome. During this time her corporate portfolio supported businesses in South Africa, Namibia, Guinea, Madagascar, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, DRC, and Tanzania. • Her extensive senior management experience included work on several investments and acquisitions in Africa; working on several CEO, Chairman, Board and Executive visits to Africa for Rio Tinto, Barrick and Placer Dome; Design, Execution and Control of Strategies, Vision, Systems and Policies, Stakeholder Mapping & Relations; Community development; Training and Skills Development. She also represented the Mining companies on Chamber of Mines; BLSA (Business Leadership South Africa); WEF Africa; Nepad Business Forum (NBF); African Union; Mining Indaba, Mining Lekgotla & various other forums and conferences; her portfolio also included wide ranging Africa and international government meetings and engagements. • She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs and mentoring women and young professionals to play a growing role in Africa’s development, as part of this she continues to sit on the Board of Junior Achievement Africa (JA Africa). She was the first woman to sit on the South African Chamber of Mines Executive Council where she sat for over 6 years ending December 2012. Koffi Kouakou • Profile • Mr. Kouakou is a senior lecturer at the Wits University Public and Development Management (P&DM) where he teaches Strategic Government Communications and Scenario Planning. He is the former director of the Unilever Mandela Rhodes Academy for Communications and Marketing (UMRA), a Storyteller, Social Commentator, Business Strategist, Author and Futurist. • He specialises in information communications technologies for development and telecommunications adapted to environmental issues in Africa. • He was the co-ordinator of the Program on Environment Information Systems in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the World Bank. He also served as the co-Director of the CSIR Virtual Reality Solutions in Pretoria, South Africa.   18. Nonye Mpho Omotola • Profile • Nonye Mpho Omotola is a Brand Strategist and consults for a number of corporates across Africa. She is also afreelance writer for several media titles. She was also recently a guest lecturer at Gordon’s Institute of Business to full time MBA students on Executing marketing Strategies in Africa. • Nonye is focused on integrated communications and the growth of economies on the African continent and has been described as a Global African Communicator, a detailed Corporate Strategist as profiled by Marketing World and one of the Key Women in Marketing and Communications in Nigeria by AD News. • Nonye has gained extensive experience within the global branding and advertising spheres and started her career in London at Maynard Leigh Associates; followed by TMP Worldwide. She has worked in a number of leading firms in Europe and in other parts of Africa including Jupiter Drawing Room, Johannesburg; FCB, Durban; and Insight grey, Lagos where she was Director of Strategic Planning and New Business. • She was also the Group Head of Corporate Communications at Oceanic Bank Nigeria (now Ecobank) where she reported directly to the Group Managing Director and achieved great success in the turnaround of a ‘crisis brand’. • Nonye is a holder of a BA Hons in Contemporary Business and Computing from the University of Westminster, London; an Honorary Senior member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and member of several professional bodies including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria. Siza possesses a broad range of leadership, management, commercial, technical (mining-exploration), strategy formulation, stakeholder management, communications, facilitation and project management skills.Her technical experience from the mining sector coupled with the stakeholder management and corporate social investment/responsibility skills positioned her well to work with teams that require: leadership, analytical, problem solving, project management, change management and strategy formulation and implementation (getting things done!).Siza now specialises in Corporate Communications, Government Relations, Stakeholder Relations, Strategy Formulation, Strategy Implementation, Public Relations, Corporate Social Investment, Budgets, Community Development, Facilitation and Investor Relations.
