AMIRA Group ties up with ModernBazaar Supermarket Amira Foods Private Limited, the Indian subsidiary of the NYSE-listed Amira Nature Foods Ltd (NYSE:ANFI), today announced its tie-up with Modern Bazaar Supermarkets, a leading modern retail store chain in Delhi/NCR region. This tie-up is part of Amira’s aggressive expansion plans in India to cater to the rising demand for premium basmati rice among the ever-growing aspirational middle class in the National Capitalregion. Under the partnership, Amira’s premium basmati rice range will be available in all six stores of Modern Bazaar operating acrossDelhi/NCR.

The chain offers products across categories ranging from gourmet and imported to localbrands.

Speaking about the association, Mr Kunaal Kumar of Modern Bazaar Supermarkets said, “Amira is one of the largest premium basmati rice brands in India and we are pleased to have them as our partners in business.We are confident that this will be an important addition to our wide offerings under the FMCG segment in ourstores.” Amira Foods, which is also one of the largest exporters of Basmati rice from India, has been strengthening its brand portfolio in India and has recently tied up with Snapdeal.com at a pan-India level to become first basmati brand to be availableonline.
