Analysis: This quote shows that Jim does not want to go on the boat and that he is scared to. He is also saying that there might be people on the boat and that they could get in trouble. Maybe Jim is being the smart one here.

(Twain 85)” Analysis: This shows Huck’s stereotypes of African Americans and how he sees them all as stubborn and refusing to accept new ideas.
